As children we are taught by our parents about the benefits of drinking milk and we were expected to drink at least a glass of milk per day. When we become older we tend to move away from this habit. Milk is the most nutritionally complete drink. It is an excellent source of calcium and helps in reducing the risk of osteoporosis, hypertension and colon cancer. Milk helps to reduce the risks of kidney stone. Milk contains many important vitamins and minerals in it. It is rich in vitamin A, B12, carbohydrates, magnesium and phosphorus. Milk helps in maintaining the bone mass throughout the lifecycle.

Balanced Diet

It’s been a fact that more number of people are now becoming health conscious but when we look at the priority level that they give it’s the last. People should know the importance of having a balanced diet. A diet which provides all the nutrients in correct proportion is called a balanced diet. Nearly, 90% of the people are not consuming a well-balanced diet because of which lot of deficiency diseases occur. A nutritious and wholesome diet is definitely a key to enjoy good health. Eight to nine servings of fresh fruits and vegetables should be included in the diet out of which one serving should be of green leafy vegetables. Cereal and cereal products, pulses and legumes, fats and fat products, should be taken in moderation when compared to fruits and vegetables. Water should be taken in plenty.

Vegetables can be eaten in different ways, many vegetables like cabbage, tomatoes, lettuce, radish a carrot can be eaten raw.  Otherwise, you can steam, microwave or stir fry the vegetables to prepare tasty meals for better health.
