out in the next week throwing up.  When it’s your turn to come pick up your little one, I hope you understand the times I’ve called all of the other parents to protect YOUR child.

So lets have a healthy happy month filled with moments spent with loved ones.  This is the perfect month to take time for a “parents night out” or even a “date” with one of your children you don’t get to spend one-on-one time with.  Happy Valentines Day!

Happy chilly February to you all. I hope this finds you in a cozy sweater and sipping hot cocoa!  It seems the cold is here to stay for a bit, so please be sure to bundle your darlings before heading out the door!  In this cold and flu season it is SO   important to be watchful for signs of illness and wash, wash, wash your and your child’s hands!  One of the most difficult things we deal with in the business of daycare is trying to manage illness.  We all have families too and do honestly understand the havoc a sick child can cause!  Missing work, expensive doctor

visits and medicines—it’s frustrating and even  maddening!  However, as we here are striving to provide a home away from home, please help us to avoid waves of flue, epidemics of pink eye, or rounds of miserable viruses.  Please know that if we call you to come pick up a child, that it is because of the laws that are written for daycares.  It’s to prevent others from getting ill and we truly don’t take it lightly.  I can’t tell you how many times in the last 14 years I have said, “well I’m not sure, he/she can stay for a little bit—just keep an eye on him” only to have 9 kids

Who shows you the love like our infants and little guys?  This month we are dealing with teething.

While I know it’s hard, here are a few things that may help.  I know we don’t like to give our babies pain medicine but teething is painful and sometimes they

need it.  Other things like frozen bagels help with the pain and sooth the gums.

The Internet is full of great suggestions for teething take a look online and if you find something good please pass it on to us.

Try to make life a little easier for both you and

your baby so you can enjoy your babies while  they’re still so small.
