Our Philosophy
Observatory Hill Early Learning Child Development Center strives to meet the needs of each child socially, intellectually, emotionally, and physically. We believe it is imperative that each child has consistent, caring, and secure surroundings. We provide your child with opportunities to grow, develop, experiment, learn and express him/herself in a caring and nurturing atmosphere so he/she may be better prepared to meet the challenges of the future.

We passionately believe that each child is a unique individual consisting of body, mind, and spirit who will learn in different ways and at different rates. A child approaches an experience with distinct interest and drive, reacts as a whole being, and takes from it multiple lessons that will shape his/her attitudes, values, social interactions, physical and intellectual skills. This approach fosters within the child, a sense of responsibility, encourages creativity, enhances self-esteem, focuses on cognitive skills and increases motivation.

Observatory Hill Early Learning Center goals are to provide a caring and loving environment for your child. Our teachers’ goals are to instill in your child values that reflect responsibility, sharing, concern and respect for others and their property as well as a high self-esteem. This is accomplished via daily lessons, songs, stories, art and creative movement, as well as outside excursions and field trips.
