Balanced Diet

People should know the importance of having a balanced diet. A diet which provides all the nutrients in correct proportion is called a balanced diet. Nearly, 90% of the people are not consuming a well-balanced diet because of which lot of deficiency diseases occur. A nutritious and wholesome diet is definitely a key to enjoy good health. Eight to nine servings of fresh fruits and vegetables should be included in the diet out of which one serving should be of green leafy vegetables. Cereal and cereal products, pulses and legumes, fats and fat products, should be taken in moderation when compared to fruits and vegetables. Water should be taken in plenty.
